The Fron Choir wins First Prize at the Male Voice Choir Competition in the Llangollen International Musical Eisteddfod.
The Choir tours Austria with concerts in St. Peter’s Cathedral, Vienna, Melk Monastery, The Cloister Church in Mondsee – where the wedding scene was filmed for The Sound of Music – and the DOM Cathedral in Salzburg.
2017
The Choir wins First Prize in the Over 41 Voice Competition, ‘Best Single Piece’ and ‘Best U.K. Choir’ at Cornwall International Male Voice Choral Festival.
2016
In January, David T Jones, chairman, Leigh Mason, MD, and a couple of choristers from the Fron, form the ‘Wrexham Charity Choir’ recruiting some fathers and grandfathers of local school children. The Charity Choir of some 22 strong, performs in a concert in aid of the charity alongside the Fron and 20 of those singers go on to join the Fron Choir.
The Choir records ‘Tydi a Roddaist’ at Seion Chapel, Froncysyllte, with Bryn Terfel for a television programme outlining his influences in his beloved North Wales.
2015
The Choir tours Northern Scotland with concerts in Aberdeen, Elgin and Strathpeffer.
2014
The Choir wins First Prize at the Male Voice Competition at Derry International Choral Festival
2013
The Choir wins Second place in the Isle of Man Festival of Choirs Male Voice Competition.
2012
The Choir visits Belfast and Dublin with concerts in the Ulster Hall and St Patrick's Church, Dalkey.
2011
‘VOICES OF THE VALLEY- THE ULTIMATE COLLECTION’ compilation CD with extra tracks is released in October.
The Choir visits New York with concerts in St Bart's Church, St Patrick's Cathedral and the British Garden.
2010
‘MEMORY LANE’ nominated for the NS&I Album of the Year at the Classical BRIT Awards 2010.
2009
The Choir performs "Laudamus" in Seion Chapel, Froncysyllte, to welcome HRH Prince Charles to the village during his visit on the 2nd March to present the Calour "Village of the Year" award.
‘VOICES OF THE VALLEY – HOME’ nominated for the NS&I Album of the Year at The Classical BRIT Awards 2009.
The recording contract with Universal extended to a 4th CD VOICES OF THE VALLEY – MEMORY LANE’ which is released in November.
The Choir visit Poland with concerts in Krakow and Warsaw.
The Choir performs at the Royal British Legion Festival of Remembrance at the Royal Albert Hall.

‘VOICES OF THE VALLEY - ENCORE’ nominated for the NS&I Album of the Year at the Classical BRIT Awards 2008.
‘VOICES OF THE VALLEY - ENCORE’ Concert Tour with performances at Cardiff, Manchester, Glasgow, Bournemouth, Rhyl, Ipswich, Gateshead, Birmingham, London and Preston.
The Choir starts work in June on the third ‘VOICES OF THE VALLEY’ recording.
Freemantle Home Entertainment film a concert for release as a DVD
The Choir wins the BBC Culture Show "Busking Challenge" by collecting £450 on the street in Chester during the 15 minutes allocated for the challenge.
‘VOICES OF THE VALLEY – LIVE’ DVD released on 3rd November.
Choir releases ‘VOICES OF THE VALLEY – HOME’ CD on 10th November in the U.K. followed by a release in Australia.
On the 12th of November the Choir give a performance of "Always Look on The Bright Side of Life" with Eric Idle for "We Are Most Amused" a Comedy Gala to celebrate the 60th birthday of HRH Prince Charles - The Prince of Wales.
2007
The Choir receives an invitation by the Welsh Rugby Football Union to entertain the spectators and sing the Anthems at Wales' Opening match of the 2007 Six Nations Rugby Competition at the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff on the 4th of February.
The Choir undertakes the ‘VOICES OF THE VALLEY’ Concert Tour with performances at Bradford St Georges Hall, Manchester Bridgewater Hall, Liverpool Philharmonic, Rhyl Pavilion Theatre, Harrogate International Centre, Llandudno Venue Cymru, Cardiff St David’s Hall, Birmingham Symphony Hall and Gateshead Sage.
The recording receives a nomination for NS&I Album of the Year and attends the Classical BRIT Awards 2007.
VOICES OF THE VALLEY is awarded a Platinum Disk and is released in Australia.
The Choir makes a tour of Cyprus.
The recording of the follow up to ‘VOICES OF THE VALLEY’ is completed in July.
‘VOICES OF THE VALLEY – ENCORE’ is released on the 19th of November.
2006
The Choir releases ‘VOICES OF THE VALLEY’ CD in November after obtaining a recording contract with Universal Music Classics and Jazz, and recording in studios in Manchester and Oswestry. The album reaches No. 9 in the BBC Radio 1 Charts, No. 1 in the Classic Album Charts and is awarded a Gold Disk just seven days after the launch.

The Choir donated "The International Trophy for the Male Voice Choirs Competition" at the Llangollen International Musical Eisteddfod in memory of its first Musical Director Mr. Lloyd Edwards. The Choir has continued to donate the trophy each year since.

The Choir takes Second place at Llangollen International Musical Eisteddfod - behind Wayne State University Men’s Glee Club from Detroit.
1966
The choir takes Second place at the Llangollen International Musical Eisteddfod - four points behind the famous "Rodina House of Culture" Choir from Bulgaria. This was the first time the Choir achieved success at Llangollen.
1965
The Choir makes its first overseas visit to take part in the city of Bremen's Musical Festival at the invitation of the Deutscher Allemain Singerband.
In June the Choir makes a radio broadcast from Carmel Chapel, Froncysyllte, for the programme "Aelwyd y Gan" with the BBC Welsh Orchestra conducted by Arwel Hughes in Cardiff.

The Choir wins First Prize at the second Male Voice Competition at the 'Semi-National' Eisteddfod at Cardigan against five other choirs.
The Choir wins at the Pwllheli Eisteddfod Chief Male Voice Competition and also the award for the best performance of all the competing choirs.
The Choir perform for the first time in a Llangollen International Musical Eisteddfod Evening Concert. The Choir has participated in 15 Evening Concerts since.
The Choir makes its first radio broadcast from Carmel Chapel, Froncysyllte, for the programme "Music Makers".

In Spring 1949 the Choir makes its first trip to London for a Competition held in Westminster Central Hall.

In March 1948 the Choir won Third place in the Male Voice Competition at Glyndyfyrdwy Eisteddfod
In July, the Choir competed for the first time at the Llangollen International Musical Eisteddfod. There were seven competing choirs and the Fron Choir came fifth.
Mr W.S. Gwynne Williams, Director of Music of the Llangollen International Musical Eisteddfod, gave a workshop at choir rehearsal on "the art of singing".
1947
19th August 1947 - At a Public Meeting held at Seion Chapel, Froncysyllte the decision was taken to form a Male Voice Choir to compete at the Llangollen International Eisteddfod and to invite Mr Lloyd Edwards to be the Conductor and "Joe Jordan" Jones the Chairman.
